I collect experiences. I make mistakes. I use them for inspiration. It’s the stuff of life, the narrative and the journey and the adventure.

Once upon a time, I wanted to write science fiction. So I did. I wrote a terrible novel when I was a kid, and another in the dusk of my 20’s. Looking back, sci-fi doesn’t feel like the right fit for me. What interested me was a vehicle to explore the edge of ideas, I just had to read more widely.

I suppose it’s not until you set out to walk a path that you get a feel for what fits.
